I came to this work through my own healing journey.
I became aware of my own suffering after an unexpected moment of peace. I stumbled into a mindful movement class with a body and mind affected by unprocessed personal trauma and burnt out by ever-moving professional goals.
By the end of that ninety minutes, I connected with a calmer nervous system—one no longer dominated by hypervigilant willfulness. I experienced a different way of moving through the world and I wanted more.
For over a decade, I entered my own individual therapy and group therapy processes, making sense of my personal history and negative self-beliefs. I studied yoga, Buddhism, meditation, and other mind-body healing modalities.
At the same time, I built a successful career in tech, most recently working at LinkedIn for nearly a decade. I truly enjoyed working with builders and creators to create products, campaigns, and strategy that defined the success of our business.
But as I came to trust my own authenticity, it became clear to me that I wanted to spend my professional life guiding others to their own power, wisdom, and truth the way my teachers guided me. In 2020, I pursued my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology at CIIS.
For me, this work manifested in invisible massive internal shifts that yes, lead me to choose a different career. That’s not the case for everyone. For some of us, that is necessary, but for many, its about how to shift our internal worlds so we can enjoy the life we built.
I believe in the power of this work because I have been through it myself. Too many of us go through our whole lives compulsively outrunning our suffering—and it almost works. There is a version of ourselves with more confidence, spaciousness, connection, and joy. We just need to sit and with and learn from the things that are holding us back.
